These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Certyn. By using Certyn, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent.
Certyn is an AI-powered QA system that executes automated browser sessions, runs autonomous or guided test workflows, records evidence, and provides reports, findings, and related product outputs.
Required Authorization
User is responsible for ensuring they have authorization to test target systems.
You may use Certyn only against applications, domains, environments, accounts, and assets that you own or are explicitly authorized to test. You may not use Certyn to attack, probe, scrape, or evaluate systems without permission.
Certyn may perform automated actions during testing. This can include navigation, clicks, typing, form submission, login attempts, and other browser interactions generated by the system in order to complete a requested workflow.
Because the browser session is real, those actions can trigger real side effects in the environment you provide, including account changes, notifications, data writes, or workflow transitions. You are responsible for using suitable test environments, test accounts, and operational safeguards.
Your use of Certyn must comply with law, these Terms, and our Acceptable Use Policy.
You are responsible for account security, user management in your workspace, and all activity initiated under your account. You are also responsible for the shared test login details, tokens, URLs, environment variables, and other inputs you provide to Certyn.
Certyn may charge on a subscription, usage-based, per-minute, or similar basis as described on your plan, checkout flow, order form, or pricing page. Stripe may be used to process billing, payment methods, invoices, taxes, and subscription administration.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or explicitly provided in your plan terms. We may suspend access for failed payment, non-payment, fraud risk, or abuse.
Certyn combines browser automation, heuristics, and model-generated reasoning. Outputs may include false positives, false negatives, missed bugs, incorrect classifications, incomplete logs, or mistaken conclusions.
Results are informational and operational aids, not guarantees. You are responsible for verifying findings, validating severity, and making release, security, or compliance decisions based on your own review.
You retain your rights in the applications, environments, prompts, project content, and execution data you submit to Certyn. Certyn retains all rights in the service, software, product design, documentation, and related intellectual property.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or requests, we may use them without restriction or obligation to you.
We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we believe:
You may stop using Certyn at any time. Termination does not remove payment obligations already incurred or limit either party's rights for prior breaches.
Certyn is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certyn disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certyn will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption.
Liability Cap Placeholder
Certyn's aggregate liability for direct damages will be capped at the amount stated in your order form or other signed commercial agreement. If no signed agreement sets a cap, Certyn's aggregate liability for direct damages is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Certyn in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or $100.
Certyn is operated by a U.S. company. If you have a signed order form or master agreement with Certyn, that agreement controls governing law and venue. For self-serve terms, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding its conflict of laws rules, and the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Material changes may also be communicated through the product, email, or account notices.
Questions about these Terms, enterprise contracting, or DPA requests can be sent to legal@certyn.io.
